I share a raw almond milk recipe today! Yummeroo!!! :) Raw Almond Milk Recipe: Soak 1 cup of almonds over night (or for about 8-12 hrs), rinse them off really well the following morning, put in a blender with a cup of water, blend well and pour through a nut/ sprout bag or cheesecloth into a bowl. Squeeze the almond pulp (in the nut bag or cheese cloth) and use the pulp to make raw cheese, pizza crust, crackers, or in any kind of baked good or "unbaked" good. Here's an example: www.highonhealth.org Add about 2 more cups of water to mixture. Then add some sweetener if you'd like- Something like Stevia, dates (soak dates for 2 hrs in water, then blend with a little water in blender, then add to almond milk), honey or maple syrup. Vanilla bean or vanilla extract and/ or cinnamon also goes well in the milk. Pour almond milk into a glass jar/ container and keep it in the fridge. Drink within a couple days of making it. **FYI, you can order a nut/ sprout bag through Amazon.com or call up some local health food stores to see if they have any... or, buy some cheese cloth for a couple buckeroos.*** www.amazon.com Why soak your nuts? Here's an article that explains why: www.foodmatters.tv Here are a couple of my personal recipes that I though I'd share with ya: Fruit and Nut Buckwheat Cereal with Almond Milk: Soak 1/2 -1 cup of buckwheat grouts over night.
